Join us for an “Art in Space” Reception in our “Moonlight Lounge.” Enjoy live music, displays of astronomical art (including hand-signed pieces from Apollo astronaut Alan Bean) and refreshments from a classically-trained chef — plus space-themed “mocktails.” Best of all, mingle with artists, scientists, filmmakers and fellow members of the “jury” — you!
Then see the shorts nominated for best science film presented in the dome. Finalists focus on: • MIT science writers and the “missing planet” • an animated short from England about lymphocytes • a cinematic exploration of NASA and the Space Coast • a highly visual biochemistry short featuring Nobel Laureate Frances Arnold • and “The Earth Above”: a brand-new, fulldome planetarium show from Australia.
